【University of Utah】 Women’s Swimming – ACA swimmer Shienna Lin signs a NCAA Division I Full Scholarship Contract

ACA women’s swimming student-athlete Shienna Lin signed her full scholarship + living stipend athletic recruitment agreement with the University of Utah on November 26, accompanied by her mother at the ACA office.

Shienna is currently a student at Taipei Digital Experimental High School, specializing in mid-distance freestyle and butterfly. She has earned numerous awards since childhood and is ranked among the Top 100 Asian swimmers in the 2024 Taiwan World Aquatics event rankings. She is 70th in Asia in the 400m IM and 95th in the 1500m freestyle. These outstanding results make her one of the strongest athletes in her age group.
(Generally, athletes approaching Asia Top 50 have potential to challenge the World Top 200.)

Inspired by her strong performance, Shienna decided to pursue NCAA swimming opportunities in the United States. Through a friend’s introduction, she connected with ACA for college athletic recruitment guidance. Under the competitive NCAA Division I environment—where roster spots are limited—top D1 programs usually finalize recruitment agreements with international athletes around November of the year before they enroll. Even before signing, there is extensive communication and paperwork required from the athlete and the team. For Shienna, securing a D1 swimming offer from a prestigious university was not easy.

With ACA’s full support, CEO Jim leveraged his network and recommendations to arrange multiple interviews with D1 college coaches for Shienna. Within a limited timeframe, ACA helped identify schools that best matched her athletic and academic goals. After thorough discussions with ACA consultants and her family regarding scholarship terms and the academic environment in the U.S., Shienna ultimately chose to join the University of Utah, where she will enroll and compete for the team in Fall 2026.

We congratulate Shienna on her incredible achievements and wish her great success as she begins her NCAA journey next year. Keep pushing forward and continue breaking your limits—Go Shienna!!
