ACA female swimmer Bella Liao (廖羿晴) has signed a full scholarship agreement with the University of Idaho.
On November 21, accompanied by her mother, Bella personally went to the ACA office to sign the recruitment agreement with the University of Idaho, securing a full scholarship to join the university swim team.
Bella is currently a third-year student at Taipei Songshan High School. She specializes in straight-line sprint freestyle and is a key member of the school swim team. She has been a consistent winner in the pool since childhood. As she approached her high school graduation, she developed the idea of challenging the NCAA in the U.S. After signing with ACA in December 2024, ACA assisted her in negotiating recruitment agreements with U.S. college sports teams.
On November 21, accompanied by her mother, Bella Liao went to the ACA office to sign a full scholarship recruitment agreement with the University of Idaho.
Over the past year, Bella has followed ACA’s guidance and planning, working hard to balance both athletics and academics while pursuing further improvement. She has also set numerous personal records in the pool. Her most recent domestic competition was the 114th National President’s Cup & Mizuno Swimming Championships, held from September 4–9. Representing Taipei Songshan High School, she competed in five individual events and two team events in the girls’ 15–17 age group, a total of seven events. She achieved three golds and one silver in individual events, and two golds in team events, along with three personal best (PB) records.
These achievements attracted attention from multiple NCAA D1 coaches and led to interview opportunities. Bella approached each online interview seriously, striving to present her best self. After ACA arranged interviews with multiple D1 coaches from last year to this year, she ultimately chose the University of Idaho after discussions with her family. She will join the UI women’s swim team in Fall 2026. We wish Bella success as she continues to refine her swimming skills and pursue her best NCAA performance—good luck!
